At Van Horn Painting, we deliver precision craftsmanship and tailored design solutions for high-end homes across Delaware County and the Main Line. We recently completed an extensive multi-room interior makeover on Twin Creek Lane in Newtown Square, PA (19073). Located right next to the peaceful Newtown Meadow Preserve and just blocks from the legendary Aronimink Golf Club, this luxury residence features soaring architectural details, custom millwork, and complex surface preparation.
Wallpaper Removal & Surface Remediation
A major component of this project involved updating outdated finishes and preparing walls for fresh paint. As experienced house painters, our team followed detailed preparation protocols:
- Professional Wallpaper Stripping: We carefully removed patterned wall coverings in high-traffic hallways and foyers without damaging the underlying drywall surface.
- Drywall Repairs & Sanding: After stripping, our crew patched minor imperfections, skim-coated damaged areas, and thoroughly sanded all surfaces to ensure a silky-smooth base.
- High-Ceiling Scaffolding: To safely paint the grand, two-story living room with its coffered ceiling and picture-frame molding, our crew erected specialized interior scaffolding to execute precise cutting-in along high window frames and trim.
Multi-Room Color Palette & Fine Trim Finishing
The interior makeover brought distinct character to each living zone:
- Soft Blue Hallway & Entryway Refresh: Hallway areas were updated in a serene light blue shade, providing a welcoming transition contrasted sharply by bright white wainscoting and crown molding.
- Teal Accent Room: In the formal sitting space, we applied a rich teal accent coat that creates an elegant backdrop for hardwood floors and decorative rugs.
- Kitchen & Great Room Cohesion: The spacious kitchen area features crisp off-white cabinetry paired with warm greige walls, framing a bold black central island for a striking modern accent.
- Stairwell & Coffered Ceiling Detailing: We refreshed double-hung banisters, risers, picture-frame molding, and intricate ceiling beams in high-durability semi-gloss white.
